Assistant Surgeon Dr. Alexander A. Edmeston, buried in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, New York, in Section 43, Lot. 6. Born in 1829 in Paisley, Scotland. Died on April 5, 1871, in Albany, N. Y, at age 41 years, 5 months, and 20 days.

 

Chaplain, Rev. Alfred Augustus Farr, buried in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, New York, in Section 19, Lot 22. Born on August 29, 1810, in Middlebury, Vt. Died on November 4, 1874, at Albany, N.Y., at age 64.

 

Drum Major John Giffen, buried in Normal Hill Cemetery, Lewiston, Idaho, in Division 2, Row 33, Lot 65, Grave 8. Born on June 18, 1830, in Albany or New York City, N.Y. Died on February 23, 1908, in Lewiston, ID, at the age of 77.

 

Maj. William Seward Gridley, buried in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois, in Section 6, Lot A, Grave 24 13. Born July 13, 1838, in Schenectady, N.Y. Died on June 17, 1889, in Chicago, Il, at age 50.

 

Qm. 1st. Lt. William Van Vranken Horsfall, buried in Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, New York, in Section Q 27. Born on March 6, 1824, in Schenectady, N. Y. Died on August 20, 1868, in Buffalo, N.Y. from an overdose of laudanum, at age 45. Possibly without a headstone.

 

Col. William Ayrault Jackson, buried in Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, New York, in Section X, Union College Plot, Lot 10. Born on March 29, 1832, in Schenectady, N.Y.. Died of disease on November 11, 1861, in Washington, D. C., at age 29.

 

Assistant Surgeon, Dr. Frank J. Mattimore, buried in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, New York, in Section 18, Lot 7, Mattimore plot, Grave 60. Born in May 1834, near Troy, N.Y. Died on October 11, 1863, at Albany, N.Y., from typhoid fever contracted in service at age 29.

 

Col. George Ranney Myers, buried in Ogdensburg Cemetery, Ogdensburg, New York, in Section 31. Born on May 12, 1838, in Ogdensburg, N.Y. Died on June 3, 1905 in Dayton, Oh, at age 67.

 

Surgeon, Dr. Nathan Payson Rice, buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts, in Mimosa Path, Grave 1424, Section 7. Died on November 10, 1900, in New York City, N.Y., at 10 a.m., at age 71.

 

Lt. John Henry Russell, buried in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, New York, in Section 42, Lot 4. Born on July 21, 1836, in Albany, N.Y. Wounded on June 27, 1862 at Gaines’s Mill, Va. Died of wounds on July 28, 1862, in Philadelphia, Pa, at age 26.

 

Lt. Solomon Wright Russell, Jr., buried in Salem Evergreen Cemetery, Salem, New York, in Section H, Lot 5. Born July 5, 1836 in Luzerne, NY. Died on October 18, 1917, in Salem, N.Y., at age 81.

 

Lt. William H. Russell, Jr., buried in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, New York, in Section 42, Lot 4. Born on November 22, 1838, in Albany, N.Y. Remained in Army after Civil War and was killed on the frontier outside Lampasas, Texas on May 15, 1870, at age 31.

 

Surgeon Dr. Peter Edward Sickler, buried in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, New York, in Section 33, Lot 42. Born on August 15, 1827, in Halfmoon, Ballston, Saratoga County, N.Y. Died on April 14, 1868, in Ballston, N.Y. from chronic diarrhea and pneumonia, at age 40. Originally buried in Ballston, N.Y.

 

Sgt. Major Henry Bowen Stall, buried in The Evergreens Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York. Died on May 17, 1902, in Brooklyn, N.Y., from cardiac asthenia and myocarditis, at age 69.

Lt. Edward Munro Tilley, buried in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk, Virginia. Born on April 2, 1835, in Bristol, Rhode Island. Died on December 21, 1917, in Norfolk, Va., at age 82.

 

Surgeon Dr. James Lucas Van Ingen, buried in Zions Hill Cemetery (former Hastings Hill Cemetery), Suffield, Connecticut. Born on November 10, 1818, at Schenectady, N.Y. Died on July 21, 1881, at Suffield, Ct., at age 62.

 

Qm. Sgt. Robert J. Wands, buried in New Scotland Cemetery, New York. Born December 31, 1834 in New Scotland, N.Y. Died in 1896.

 

Col. William Henry Young, buried in Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, New York, in Section G, Lot 17. Born on April 22, 1824, in England. Thrown from a horse and died on October 31, 1876, in Albany, N.Y., at age 52.
